Our Story
When our kids were at the age to start thinking about spring season hockey, the three of us looked into several local programs but just couldn't find the right fit. We wanted our kids to train in the off-season but we also wanted them to be able to play summer sports, take trips to the cabin and just have time to be a kid. More than that we wanted a program where the people were energetic, passionate about hockey and dedicated to the development of our young hockey players.
When the time came to make a decision, we realized that in order to get what we were looking for in a program, we'd have to create it from the bottom up. And so Hometown Hockey Minnesota was born... on the back of a napkin over lunch!
In the spring season of 2011 we had our first Spring League with just 44 kids. We wanted to make it fun for the kids so we made sure that every game was "NHL style" with music, goal horns and announcements, and even penalties. From there the true spirit of Hometown Hockey Minnesota was born.
Over the past 12 years our company has grown and we are amazed and humbled by all of the people that have joined our Hometown Hockey Family! We look forward to the coming years with you and your kids.
